Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our existing teams on a number of Social Housing Repairs in London North Counties.

  • To be responsible for the supervision and overseeing the direction of all jobs, from commencement to completion; ensuring that the client’s specification and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with commercial support to capture all costs and ensure all works are carried out safely.
  • Attend validation inspections to scope up works based on client’s specification.
  • Ensure daily review of Total Mobile Dashboard to manage job workflow; respond to client questions and queries in a timely manner; and ensure all notes pertaining to each job have been recorded on TM accurately.
  • Liaise with admin and commercial staff, the client when required, and sometimes the resident or members of the public.
  • Report to the project manager regarding WIP and completions.
  • Coordinate and supervise supply chain to ensure timely start and completion dates and ensure these are updated onto Total Mobile.
  • Make safety inspections and ensure construction and site safety.
  • Create a health and safety file for each job ensuring all documentation is reviewed and amended prior to each job commencement.
  • Attend post inspection for every job to ensure snags are completed and quality is at the standard expected.
  • Check job specifications, designs and drawings to ensure compliance on site.
  • Anticipate problems and find ways to prevent problems from happening and to solve any that crop up.
  • Assess and minimise risk by ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Maintain quality control of supply chain.
  • Attend occasional client meetings at project manager’s request.
  • Experience within a similar role.

Skills & Experience

Knowledge and experience of cyclical workstream.

  • Strong experience of working within a fast moving environment delivering high quality and robust delivery service.
  • Experience of working with supply chain delivery model.
  • Able to demonstrate commercial acumen.
  • Experience of site health and safety good practice.
  • Experience of working within a customer facing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within financial regulations, data protection, freedom of information and waste management.
  • Proficiency in the use of Total Mobile and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of equality issues.
  • Able to read and understand instructions, technical reports and designs, and follow company procedures.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision dealing with emergencies and difficult situations in a calm and effective manner; be well organised and prioritise own workload.
  • Able to develop and present written information in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Relevant site management qualification or proven experience.
  • SMSTS.
  • SSSTS.
  • First Aid.
  • Asbestos awareness.
