The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

To lead switchgear installations, off‑loading, installing busbars, bus wiring, and testing the switchgear panels/system. Integrate/assemble and modify switchgear assemblies and supervise others doing this activity. Repair switchgear when required. Carry out function tests, internal wiring, integration and testing duties when required. Supervise and coordinate site teams to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to specification. Allocate daily tasks and monitor the performance of engineers and labourers on site. Act as the main point of contact on site for clients, contractors and other trades. Ensure all work is carried out in line with project drawings, specifications and company standards. Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks and ensure RAMS are followed at all times. Identify and resolve on‑site issues, escalating where necessary to the Engineering Manager. Complete site documentation, including reports, test records and progress updates. Support training and development of junior team members. Report any safety concerns, incidents or near misses in line with company procedures. Liaise with project management regarding progress, delays and resource requirements. Ensure quality standards are met. Comply with all site rules, PPE requirements and H&S regulations.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Strong proven track record in electrical engineering
  • Excellent Engineering skills and Testing experience
  • Strong Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Pro‑active & attention to detail essential
  • Good computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels
  • Ability to travel at short notice, including long distances
  • Team player
  • Willing to work overtime when required, including working away from home Monday – Friday
  • Awareness of H+S regulations on site

Additional Information:

Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.
