We are looking for an Undergraduate Placement Student to join our Utility Infrastructure - Power team for a 12 month industry placement. United in the way we think – united in the way we work. As a Placement Student at United Infrastructure you will learn something new every day and develop your skills and knowledge in the construction industry in a supportive environment with an approachable team. Day-to-day, you’ll be assisting the team providing engineering support for major infrastructure projects such as delivering bespoke private HV networks, supporting renewable energy connections, or executing large-scale utility infrastructure projects. You’ll be supported to develop both professionally and personally, and will also network with our wider early careers population through activities with colleague networks and can get involved in things such as our innovation challenge, volunteering and STEM engagement activities.
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to:
- be in your penultimate year at University, and on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
- be able to commit to a 12-month Industrial Placement that will begin in summer 2026.
- have good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- have good organisation, time management and communication skills.
- have a full driving licence or be actively working towards achieving this and expected to obtain prior to summer 2026.
- able to work full-time from our office located in Warrington as this role is not suitable for hybrid working.
