We are seeking an experienced Electrical Infrastructure Manager to oversee the delivery, maintenance, and management of electrical infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial, and utility environments. The successful candidate will combine strong project management capability with hands-on electrical knowledge, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed from an electrician or electrical engineering background into project or infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical infrastructure projects from planning through to completion
- Oversee installation, upgrades, maintenance, and commissioning activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, suppliers, and clients
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and electrical standards
- Prepare project programmes, RAMS, and technical documentation
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks
- Support procurement of materials and specialist services
- Liaise with DNOs, utility providers, and stakeholders where required
- Ensure all works comply with current regulations including BS7671
- Provide technical support and leadership to operational teams
- Attend client meetings and provide project progress updates
- Support emergency response and fault resolution when necessary
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an Electrical Infrastructure Manager, Electrical Project Manager, or similar role
- Strong background as an electrician, electrical supervisor, or electrical engineer
- Experience managing electrical infrastructure or construction projects
- Good understanding of LV/HV systems and electrical distribution
- ECS / JIB / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to sites across the region
Desirable Experience
- Experience within utilities, rail, industrial, EV infrastructure, or commercial construction
- NICEIC or similar accreditation exposure
- AP/SAP experience
- Knowledge of ICP/DNO processes
- Experience managing multiple sites simultaneously
- Prince2, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification
