We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to support our Energy and Water business.
This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll take ownership of delivering marketing activity across the year, working closely with colleagues across the business to raise our profile, support business development, and tell the stories behind the work we do.
This is an exciting time in the world of energy as we look for renewable sources and United Infrastructure is at the forefront of the first carbon capture and storage project in Liverpool Bay.
The role is pivotal in liaising with stakeholders, media, government and local communities to communicate the future benefits of these projects and ensure they align with our net‑zero commitments.
You will work closely with the Managing Directors of this business area to ensure that messaging is aligned to strategy. Being organised, confident, and a good communicator is key.
No two days will be the same.
One day you could be organising an industry exhibition, the next writing a press release, filming content on site, or pulling together an award submission.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, has plenty of ideas, and is equally comfortable planning campaigns as they are delivering them.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver the marketing programme across the Energy and Water divisions.
- Plan and coordinate the annual events calendar, including exhibitions, conferences and stakeholder events.
- Organise external events, manage delegate registrations and coordinate event logistics.
- Manage exhibition branding, promotional merchandise and marketing materials.
- Monitor marketing budgets, track costs and produce monthly spend reports.
- Write and distribute press releases.
- Produce case studies that showcase projects, people and business successes.
- Work with colleagues across the business to develop thought leadership content and identify opportunities for articles, interviews and speaking events.
- Research, write and submit entries for industry awards.
- Create engaging content for Linked In and other social media channels.
- Visit project sites to capture photos and video content for marketing campaigns.
- Draft Linked In posts and edit short‑form videos, including Reels for Tik Tok.
- Help develop and produce podcasts using our in‑house recording studio.
- Support colleagues at exhibitions and events, ensuring our branding and marketing materials are presented professionally.
- Travel to events, project sites and other business locations as required.
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys building relationships, can manage several projects at once and has a real passion for marketing.
You’ll be confident working with people across the business and happy to take ownership of your workload.
- Previous experience in a marketing role, ideally at Marketing Manager level.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience writing press releases, case studies and social media content.
- Experience planning and delivering events.
- Budget management experience.
- A good eye for detail and an understanding of brand consistency.
- Experience creating digital content for social media.
- Confidence using photography and video equipment, or a willingness to learn.
- Experience editing short‑form video content.
- A full UK driving licence.
- It would be an advantage if you have
- Experience working in the energy, water, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
- An understanding of the UK energy or water industries.
- Experience producing podcasts or multimedia content.
- Experience writing successful award submissions and engaging PR content.
