Essential Skills, you will
- Demonstrate ability in the use of 2D CAD software, such as the latest version of Auto CAD.
- Be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Be able to support quality, environmental, and information management procedures in line with ISO 9001, ISO 19650, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Have an understanding of water industry standards and guidance, such as CIWEM and CESWI.
- Possess a sound understanding of civil engineering design principles and terminology.
- Have knowledge of UK Water Industry and Sewer Sector Guidance standards relevant to drainage design.
Preferred Skills, ideally you will also
- Have experience working with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms and workflows, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360.
- Have practical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in the use of 3D CAD software, such as Revit, Auto CAD, and Civils 3D.
- Be familiar with additional water industry standards, such as WIMES.
- Understand the integration of CAD designs with BIM models.
- Be familiar with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
- Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, staying up to date with industry innovations and CAD software developments.
- Have knowledge or experience of Haz Op and ALM processes.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with members of the design team, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead by example, promoting high standards and supporting the adoption of best practice procedures within the team.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with a proactive, positive, and solution-focused approach to work.
- Show a willingness to learn, develop, and continually improve your skills, while embracing innovative and forward-thinking ideas.
