About the Role

We are looking for a Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Placement Student to join our Utility Infrastructure – Major Projects team, for a 12‑month industry placement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Major Projects team providing engineering support for major infrastructure projects, such as the Carbon Capture Pipeline in the Northwest.

Requirements

  • Penultimate year at university, on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 in a Mechanical degree or related discipline.
  • Commitment to a 12‑month Industrial Placement beginning in summer 2026.
  • Good IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
  • Full driving licence.
