My clients were originally founded in 1969. The company supplied and installed flue systems for heating contractors in the Northwest. In 1982, with increased demand from Consultants, Local Authorities and the heating trade for our products and services, they moved into larger premises and expanded sales coverage to the whole of the UK.
We are now looking for a Trainee Sheet-Metal Fabricator for a busy sheet-metal / chimney company based in Chadderton, Oldham. The role involves assisting in the manufacture of stainless steel sections and components in our Chadderton (OL9 8EH) workshop. The work will include producing differing sizes of flue cylinders by cutting, rolling and tig welding light gauge stainless steel. It will also involve some mig welding in producing light gauge steel supports and brackets.
Training will be given, but it is essential that applicants have some fabricator / welding experience. The hourly rate starts at £13. The working hours are Monday – Friday 7.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday, and Friday 7.00am to 1.00pm. Please note that no holidays can be taken in August/September as this is the busiest time.
