My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Northwest. We are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) based at the site in Hyde.
Salary: £45k-£47k dependent on experience.
Working Hours: 36 hours per week 06:00-13:30/13:30-06:00 Monday to Thursday, 06:00-12:00/12:00-18:00 Friday. Probationary period hours will be days based 08:00-17:00 for training purposes.
As our Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will report directly to the Facilities Manager. In this hands-on proactive role, you will be responsible for all aspects of fault diagnosing, electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance of machinery including automated assembly cells, injection moulding, hydraulic presses, and extrusion lines. The role will also involve some electrical installation work throughout the site on things such as armored cable feeding new machinery and equipment, lighting, and power installations throughout the plant, as well as completing PPM activities of factory services and equipment and supporting new installations of plant and other equipment.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role with an extensive understanding of electrical and mechanical practices, with the ability to identify potential issues and advise on corrective measures. We are looking for a focused team player with a strong character who likes to work in a fast-paced expanding business, is passionate about further improving the department, is creative, and has the ability to convey their own ideas to the department. Experience: Experience of press, injection moulding and assembly machines, conveyors, installation (single and 3ph), and panel wiring is preferred.
Qualifications/skills: Ideally, you will be apprentice trained or equivalent, hold at least NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent with an HNC/HND being desirable, have good fault-finding and diagnostic skills, 18th edition wiring regulations BS 7671, and experience working with and fault finding on PLCs and HMIs. Experience working in a factory/production environment in a similar role is preferred.
