We are seeking an additional field-based Area Sales Manager to cover Northeast, England and Scotland. You are expected to reside within the region. You will manage an established customer portfolio (approximately 40% of your time), while dedicating most of your efforts (around 60%) to identifying, prospecting, and developing new business opportunities.

Basic salary up to £46,752 basic + monthly vehicle allowance up to £663 + enhanced pension and private medical insurance. There is a sales bonus of up to 50% per year. 24 days holiday + bank holidays rising to 25 days after 2 years full service.

Your role: The role involves promoting the company’s premium product range to furniture manufacturers and users of decorative melamine boards, primarily within the KBB sector. As part of the Interior Solutions division, you will contribute to a team focused on promoting a comprehensive product portfolio, including edgeband, acrylic surfaces, and tambour storage systems, across a diverse customer base. Success in this role requires the ability to understand and interpret customer needs, adopt a disciplined approach to prospecting and follow-up, and effectively utilise CRM systems to track customer and competitor insights. Staying informed about market trends and developments will also be key to your ongoing success.

Your profile: You bring proven experience within the interior furniture components industry, including strong market knowledge of decorative boards and associated distribution channels. Experience in manufacturing, selling, or distributing edgeband products or machinery for processing edgeband and decorative boards is highly desirable. A sales-driven and naturally engaging individual, you excel in building relationships and enjoy regular customer interaction. You are comfortable working with strategic sales plans and confidently present products based on their quality, benefits, and technical features. You have experience selling premium products to SMEs and possess an established network of industry contacts. Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-focused, you thrive in an independent, field-based role. Candidates with direct experience in a similar position within a decorative board, edgeband, or machinery manufacturer will have a distinct advantage.
