We are recruiting for a Recruitment Associate to join our Recruitment team at our Corporate office in Fresno, CA. The purpose of United Health Center's Recruitment and Development is to assist in the ongoing recruitment and development of a superior workforce for UHC. The Recruitment Associate position provides exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-performance, employee-oriented culture while meeting quality standards and productivity attainment.
Under the direction of the Director of Recruitment and Development, this position completes timely and accurate administrative duties in support of recruitment, on-boarding, and development efforts in the delivery of superior services for the organization.
PERFORMANCE AREA 1: Recruitment and Development Strategic Support- Cultivates confidence and establishes effective collaboration with the Recruitment and Development team.
- Demonstrates awareness of, and compliance with, United Health Centers' organizational mission and values to provide health care access and support services for all members of the community.
- Communicates effectively with other staff members or departments and ensures all verbal and written communication are of the highest quality and accuracy. Responds to all incoming inquiries in a timely, customer service-oriented manner.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects the organization by ensuring personnel data and all other employment-related documents and information are secured and kept confidential.
- Complies with federal, state and local employment laws and requirements and prepares reports as designated by the Director of Recruitment and Development.
- Completes various recruitment, on-boarding, and development projects and activities as assigned by the Director of Recruitment and Development.
- Understands the ongoing recruitment, onboarding, and development needs and assists in establishing UHC as an employer of choice.
- Perform a variety of administrative duties associated with new employee personnel-related information by accurately processing, scanning, filing, and recording personnel or credentialing documents according to the department's guidelines.
- Ensure all pre-employment documentation and paperwork is collected and reviewed for processing. Assist with the verification of vaccine records. Follow up with new hires when information or documents are missing.
- Uses objective screening methods to identify the most qualified candidates for open positions. Evaluates a candidate's application, resume, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other required competencies to effectively perform the job's duties and expectations as well as ensure alignment with the organization's talent needs.
- Provides talent acquisition support as a subject matter expert in UHC's applicant tracking system technology and the UHC recruitment process. Assist hiring managers with recruitment needs according to UHC's policies and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with hiring managers and presents qualified candidates for interviews and final consideration. Conducts high volume screening and interviewing and frequently assesses shifts open position priorities and needs.
- Schedules and coordinates interviews so all parties are present for the interview meeting(s). Coordinates follow up of additional interviews for potential final candidates. Communicates application status to candidates.
- Serves as a panel interviewer for entry to mid-level positions. Conducts and helps facilitate professional and formal interviews. Capitalizes on demonstrating a realistic job preview to the candidates. Shares critical information and insight into UHC Benefits.
- Helps facilitate the debriefing process after an interview to help hiring managers make a confident and objective hiring decision.
- Extends final job offers of employment to new hires. Abides by UHC Rules of Confidentiality regarding privacy and maintains confidentiality and respect for information regarding new hires and employees.
- Uses sound judgement to engage and/or accurately informs details on the negotiation process with new hires when needed. Capitalizes on sharing critical information and insight into UHC Benefits to ensure the new hire can make a clear and wholistic decision on the UHC employment offer.
- Supports the coordination and presentation of the New Hire Excellence Program. Collects onboarding details from hiring managers and supports in preparing personalized onboarding agendas for new hires.
- Ensures that all training rooms for NHO onboarding are reserved and reflective on NHO Agendas. Effectively communicates and serves as the subject matter expert regarding NHO onboarding details for new hires.
- Makes necessary changes on NHO Agendas as needed and in real time.
- Performs office duties such as: directing internal and external calls, ordering office supplies, responding to emails in a timely manner, and assisting new hires and all personnel as directed.
- Education: Associates Degree in Business, Health Administration, Human Resources, or closely related field is required.
- License/Certification: Possess a Valid Driver's License.
- Prior Experience: Minimum of two (2) yearsβ experience in a Human Resources or Recruitment office setting functioning in a general human resources/recruitment capacity, preferred.
- Skills: Customer-service oriented. Proficient at modern office practices and procedures. Detail oriented. Highly organized. Positive professional insight. Demonstrated good problem-solving skills; sound judgment. Able to quickly build and maintain rapport with new hires and employees of differing backgrounds. Strong computer skills (especially Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel). Attention to detail and excellent follow-through on work tasks. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The pay range for this non-exempt position starts at $27.95 an hour. Our salary ranges are dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
