We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Drainage Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level professional ready to take on more responsibility in a supervisory role.
Role Overview: As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will handle complex and larger-scale jobs, assist with training and mentoring junior engineers, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards. This hands-on role includes a variety of tasks such as plumbing, drain laying, CCTV surveys, and high-pressure jetting, with a strong focus on leadership and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out plumbing works, including excavations, drain laying, and lining/patch repairs
- Conduct CCTV drain surveys and high-pressure water jetting
- Lead and manage complex or large-scale drainage jobs
- Provide on-site training and support to engineers
- Carry out site audits and job quality checks
- Assist with challenging or problematic jobs
- Meet with clients to assess issues and offer technical solutions
- Prepare and submit accurate job quotations
- Ensure all works meet health and safety regulations
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the drainage industry
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Positive, can-do attitude with a high attention to detail
- Flexible with working hours and on-call availability
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean DBS check (will be processed)
