Role Overview: This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for carrying out specialist drainage repairs, with a primary focus on patch lining, full-length pipe lining (CIPP), and minor drain repairs. The position involves preparing, installing, and curing resin-based liners to restore structural integrity to damaged pipework without the need for excavation. The role requires a high level of technical competence in using CCTV equipment for pre- and post-inspections, operating high-pressure water jetting units for pipe cleaning, and interpreting site conditions to select the most appropriate repair method. A strong understanding of drainage systems, health and safety compliance, and attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work independently or as part of a team on both planned and emergency reactive works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) liners for full-length and patch repairs
- Pre- and post-lining CCTV surveys to assess and verify pipe condition
- Operation of high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) units to clean and prepare pipework
- Mixing and application of resin systems used in lining and patching
- Accurate measurement and cutting of liners to specification
- Inflating and curing liners using hot water, steam, or ambient methods
- Recording and reporting of all completed works, including video and photographic evidence
- Supporting reactive and planned drainage maintenance when lining is not required
- Maintenance and management of van stock, lining equipment, and safety gear
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety protocols
Essential Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme)
- City & Guilds qualification in Confined Spaces
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems and site safety
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and capable of outdoor manual work
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday. Overtime opportunities available.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary: £39,000 - £52,000 depending on experience
- Training provided
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Ongoing career development and progression opportunities
- Supportive and professional working environment
