United Digestive is a large, well-established organization with approximately 140 physicians, 120 mid-level providers, and 27 endoscopy centers in the southeast. We seek candidates with a record of academic achievement and excellent consultative and diagnostic skills. Gastroenterology experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians.
- Completing inpatient hospital coverage and rounds at the hospital.
- Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures.
- Dictating for hospital consults performed.
- Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner.
- Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner.
- GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
