About the Role: Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you can make a significant impact? As a Franchise Banking Relationship Manager, you’ll be responsible for generating and managing a diverse portfolio of franchise businesses with revenues of $10 million or more. You’ll leverage your analytical skills and experience to communicate effectively with business leaders, including CEOs, CFOs, and Business Controllers.
What You’ll Do:
- Build Relationships: Develop and manage franchise business relationships, offering loans, deposit accounts, cash management services, and cross-selling other bank services.
- Lead and Guide: Provide guidance to credit analysts and portfolio managers.
- Collaborate: Partner with community bank Commercial RMs to drive success.
- Drive Growth: Actively call on clients and prospects to develop new business in the franchise banking division.
- Network: Maintain a strong network of Centers of Influence (COI).
- Research: Utilize tools like Vertical IQ and Business Browser to identify and develop leads.
- Achieve Goals: Manage your production against assigned goals and recommend loan structures, terms, and rates.
- Oversee Closings: Manage the loan closing process, including preparing term sheets and commitment letters, and coordinating with attorneys, appraisers, and other professionals.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to company loan policies and procedures and evaluate risk to meet profitability standards.
- Engage in the Community: Participate in community activities and events such as Chamber, Kiwanis, Rotary, etc.
- Mentor: Perform quarterly check-ins and manage goals for staff, if applicable.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with community banks and other verticals like the SBA for effective placement of franchise customers and prospects.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- Minimum of five years in franchise banking, with experience in credit analysis or lending and extensive outside calling experience.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex financial statements and completion of a commercial analyst training program.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or accounting preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, and participation in internal and external training programs, meetings, and seminars.

Position Type:
- Full-time role with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel:
- This position requires 25% travel.
Eligibility:
- Focus on new business development and servicing franchise commercial relationships.
- Not participating in an Executive/Management Incentive Plan or any other incentive plan.
- Discretion of the State President regarding participant entrance and eligibility.
- Achieve a target level of production of $30 million from the previous calendar year.
- Achieve 50% of individual goals for eligible quarterly payout.
- Rated successful or higher on the current Performance Evaluation Plan.
- Not placed on probation during the current quarter.
