We are seeking ambitious, outstanding candidates to join our support staff at United Colleges Group. We are a forward-thinking education provider and our mission is to deliver outstanding, world-class education and skills.

The Role

  • To support curriculum colleagues including English and maths with following up attendance of students and maximising retention and achievement of our students.
  • To call/contact students to improve attendance/find out barriers to attendance and implement necessary support to improve attendance.
  • To record all correspondence with students on agreed college databases and be proficient on all IT including Microsoft/Teams etc.
  • To be part of team meetings and provide regular updates to curriculum colleagues on caseload of students, and regularly liaise with the teaching staff in order to ensure all students not meeting 85% attendance are followed up and an action plan implemented to improve attendance and engagement with the course.
  • To work with the wider student support teams and work as a ‘team around the student’ in order to maximise attendance and subsequent success on the students’ course.

About you

The successful candidate should have experience in working with young people, be relatable and empathetic, along with being able to motivate and coach our students to success. The ideal candidate would be self-sufficient, able to use initiative when necessary, able to follow directions and act on them, and provide feedback to managers without constant monitoring.
