We are looking for a Lecturer in Plumbing who will coordinate the effective delivery of the plumbing study programmes across various levels, providing academic leadership for students and creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent, and in line with local and national priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate delivery of plumbing study programmes across various levels providing academic leadership for students, creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities.
- Develop and maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge, bring in industry professionals where possible, and balance curriculum with employability and skill needs of students.
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their aspirations, track their achievements, and lead programmes to attain outstanding achievement, student retention and progression.
- Ensure sound organisational skills and contribute positively and creatively to the team.
- Work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.
Qualifications:
- Industry experience in plumbing or a related field.
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to pursue a Level 4 teaching qualification and, if required, a Level 5 teaching qualification.
