The Faculty of Creative Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Manager for Music & Performing Arts. The successful candidate will provide operational leadership and management for the Music and Performing Arts curriculum area, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement in pursuit of an outstanding student experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate the curriculum team, supporting staff development and implementing effective performance management processes to achieve consistently high outcomes for learners.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development, ensuring programmes remain responsive to learner needs, sector developments and local and national priorities.
- Drive quality improvement across the curriculum area, using performance data and key performance indicators to identify areas for development and implement effective interventions.
- Lead on self‑assessment, quality assurance and enhancement activities, supporting improvements in learner achievement, retention, attendance, progression and student satisfaction.
Required experience and skills:
- Experience of curriculum leadership within Further Education.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, curriculum development and performance management.
- Proven track record of supporting staff to improve performance and delivering positive outcomes for learners.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, learners and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to high‑quality education, continuous improvement and student success.
