About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised ALS Administrator to join our Additional Learning Support team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is passionate about supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their full potential. Working closely with the Head of Department and ALS Curriculum Managers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective administration of ALS services across the College. You will maintain accurate student records, coordinate key processes, support funding and compliance requirements, and act as a central point of contact for students, staff, parents and external stakeholders. This is a busy and varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can manage competing priorities while delivering an excellent service.
About you
- Has experience working in an administrative role within a busy environment.
- Possesses excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.
- Has strong IT skills, including experience using databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Can handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Is proactive, solution-focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Has a genuine commitment to supporting students and delivering an outstanding service.
Experience within an Additional Learning Support, SEND, education or student services environment would be advantageous, as would experience of using eSpirALS or similar learner support databases.
