We have brilliant teaching teams working hard to do this, but this is only possible with excellent technicians. If you have a wealth of industrial experience, have a passion for your craft and want to inspire our learners we would love to hear from you. You will be based in the trowel trades area and it would be your job to manage and maintain resources and equipment; including mixing mortar and clay mixes and making sure the work areas are clean once the students have left, carrying out a stock take and ordering tools and materials. As well as assist and support staff and students in the effective and safe use of equipment including, from time to time, carrying out practical demonstrations. You’ll already have or be in the process of completing an appropriate Craft/Technical Qualification up to NVQ Level II or equivalent and hold a forklift driving license would be an advantage.
