_United Children’s Services are looking for a Deputy Children’s Care Home Manager, to assist the Manager with the running of our Home in the Melton Mowbray area. In all of our Homes we aim to offer a nurturing environment with care and support delivered by staff who combine compassion with experience and professionalism, in order to achieve the best outcomes for young people._

_About the role:_
_The post is a permanent full-time role (40 hours per week)._
_This is an important post within the organisation and there are a number of key responsibilities attached to the role including:_
_Meeting the needs of and promoting the development of the children in the home’s care._
_Assisting with monitoring high quality standards of care in line with company expectations and the Children’s Homes regulations._
_Working in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people._
_Being involved in the recruitment and retention of staff._
_Ensuring staff are adequately trained, supported and supervised._
_Contributing to the development and growth of the company. _
_About You_
_Above all else we are looking for someone who is professional, committed and passionate about helping to improve the life opportunities for children and young people, through the care you and the staff team deliver._ _You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. Relevant experience is essential, but demonstrating the correct attitude and approach to the role will also be crucial in selecting the right person for the post._
_We will expect you to be a ‘hands on’ person and lead by example, upholding standards and boundaries as a professional role model for the staff team and the children. It is important that you are able to communicate with both staff and children effectively. You will also have experience of creating effective care plans for children and be able to evidence that they have had proven beneficial outcomes._

* _At least two years’ experience in a Children’s Care Home and _
* _Some experience in supervising. _
* _A Level 3 Diploma in Children\’s and Young People Workforce (or equivalent qualification)_
* _A full UK Driving Licence._
