Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset and has opportunities for a Grinder to work on a full‑time basis starting as soon as possible. The role involves grinding aerospace equipment using manual and CNC machinery while ensuring high‑quality standards.
Key Duties
- Perform internal and external grinding using MDI (Manual Data Input) CNC machinery, surface grinding, and thread grinding.
- Operate under OCQ - Operator Control of Quality procedures.
- Interpret engineering drawings, following process layouts and documentation procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in grinding, ideally with aerospace equipment.
- Ability to operate MDI CNC machinery.
- Knowledge of surface and thread grinding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
What We Offer
- Pay 18.99-19.54 per hour depending on experience and shift.
- Perm Nights: Start Sunday night at 10:00pm and finish at 07:00am Monday; Tuesday 00:00am to 07:00am; Wednesday 00:00am to 07:00am; Thursday 00:00am to 07:00am; Friday 00:00am to 07:00am.
