Role Details

  • Hours: 44 per week - Permanent role, 7am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, 8am – 12pm on a Saturday rota
  • Salary: £29,080.48 basic salary per year
  • Bonus / OTE: Realistic total earning potential of up to £32,680.48 per year

  • Occasional Saturday work on a rota basis

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on work closely with the Branch Manager and Branch Supervisor in day-to-day branch operations
  • Responsible for trade counter sales to achieve sales targets and confidently communicate product knowledge to customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers
  • Pick, load and deliver products to customers via Eurocell’s 3.5-tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
  • Plan routes, safely drive, and maintain the company vehicle
  • Support the Branch Manager with timely actions and activities
  • Comply with Health and Safety, company policies and procedures
  • Ensure excellence in customer service, operational standards and branch sales targets are achieved
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to help meet sales targets
  • Assist in the delivery of branch operations
  • Provide support and assistance to branch colleagues as required
  • Maintain branch standards, including warehouse and stock management, front-of-house cleanliness and point of sale

Qualifications

  • Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Hands-on, customer-focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers
  • Commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and use own initiative
  • Confident IT user, experience of MS Office and industry-standard software such as SAP
  • Full and valid driving licence (FLT licence would be an advantage)
  • Previous branch stock-take experience an advantage
  • Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally alone
  • Experience in a similar trade/builders merchant/retail, glazing or uPVC environment an advantage
