Responsible for introducing new precision-engineered components into production and improving existing manufacturing processes. Uses structured quality and risk management methods, including APQP, to ensure robust product introduction and process control. Works closely with engineering, production, quality, and external partners to deliver efficient, cost-effective manufacturing solutions that meet regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end NPI activities from enquiry through approval, ensuring delivery on time, cost, and quality targets
  • Apply APQP to identify and mitigate risks across product development, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Develop, improve, and maintain production manufacturing processes
  • Review engineering changes and coordinate required actions
  • Support root cause analysis and non‑conformance investigations
  • Drive process improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction
  • Create and maintain routings, work instructions, and process documentation
  • Support quotation and contract review activities
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams
  • Deputise for engineering management when required

Requirements

  • 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • Strong understanding of APQP and structured quality methodologies
  • Experience in process improvement and manufacturing engineering
  • Knowledge of risk and failure analysis tools (e.g. FMEA)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
