Our client, a leader in the water sector, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Bristol. You will be working on water and wastewater schemes, contributing to their efficient and effective treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing design support and guidance, ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards
  • Collaborating with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient and safe solutions
  • Engaging with clients to manage relationships and support them in achieving their goals
  • Managing the integration of civil design with other disciplines and documentation
  • Acting as a technical checker and undertaking technical reviews for projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes with standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
  • Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions within existing systems
  • Supporting the development of the civil engineering team, including mentoring and resource allocation

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Chartership (CEng) with a relevant engineering institution is highly desirable
  • Experience in successful delivery of high-quality outputs in line with design, quality, and safety standards
  • Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region
  • Experience in water/wastewater is essential
