Our client, specialising in the rail sector, is currently seeking a PTS Site Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role revolves around the Bristol to Swindon area, focusing on supporting the delivery of geotechnical and off-track drainage works as part of a major long-term programme with Network Rail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise geotechnical and off-track drainage works in alignment with CP7 Geotechnical and Drainage framework with Network Rail
- Conduct site engineering tasks ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Prepare and maintain documentation and records accurately
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members
Job Requirements
- Experience in site engineering within the rail sector
- Hold a valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- Hold a valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Understanding of geotechnical and drainage engineering principles
- Knowledge of NCCA PTS and relevant rail safety standards
- Ideally hold IRATA (Rope Access Training) certification, although this is not essential
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
