Our client is a well-established, family-run business based in Bristol, specialising in the service, repair, and maintenance of construction plant equipment. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their skilled engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive company that values its employees, offers flexibility, and provides long-term stability within a growing business.

The Role

  • Carrying out diagnostics, fault finding, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of construction plant equipment.
  • Working on medium to heavy plant machinery across various manufacturers including JCB, Caterpillar, Kubota, and others.
  • Attending breakdowns and completing on-site repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Completing planned maintenance and inspections to minimise downtime.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety compliance.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, or Heavy Plant Mechanic.
  • Experience working on construction plant equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • NVQ or relevant engineering qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
