About the Role
Connex Education is recruiting passionate ECTs and experienced Maths Teachers for opportunities starting in September 2026. We are currently supporting a number of friendly and inclusive secondary schools across Bristol, with roles available on both a short-term and long-term basis. Some placements may run through until Christmas, while others could continue for the full academic year ending in July 2027. This is a brilliant opportunity for enthusiastic Maths Teachers who are looking to further their career in supportive school settings that place a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, inclusion, and pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Adapt teaching and learning activities to support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Create a positive and purposeful classroom environment that encourages confidence, resilience, and good behaviour
- Use clear explanations, modelling, and questioning techniques to make mathematical concepts accessible for all learners
- Mark work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback to support pupil achievement in Maths
- Build positive working relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to promote learning and wellbeing
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, although strong secondary teaching experience in Maths will also be considered
- A passionate and engaging teaching style with confidence in delivering Maths lessons
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
