We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a specialist Children's Residential Home in Wolverhampton. The home supports young people aged 8-18 with mild to moderate learning difficulties, mental health needs, and associated behaviours within a therapeutic and nurturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred care while promoting positive outcomes and independence for young people.
About the Home
The service provides medium to long-term residential care and works closely with a multidisciplinary team to support children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. The home follows a therapeutic approach using the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations 2015
- Promote safeguarding and high standards of care
- Lead, motivate and develop the staff team
- Ensure care plans are tailored to young people's individual needs
- Build positive relationships with families and professionals
- Maintain a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children's residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Experience supporting children with complex needs, learning disabilities or mental health needs
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards)
- Full UK Driving Licence
