Newbridge Preparatory School is looking for a warm, professional and proactive Headmistress PA, Admissions, Reception and Administration Officer to join our friendly school community. As our Headmistress PA, Admissions, Reception and Administration Officer, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Headmistress alongside overseeing admissions, reception and wider school administration. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent experience for families and staff alike. Working hours are 8am - 5pm with a one-hour lunch break, working Term Time + 4 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Headmistress diary, meetings and correspondence
  • Prepare reports, presentations and school documentation
  • Coordinate parent meetings, events and school communications
  • Oversee the admissions process from enquiry to enrolment
  • Arrange school tours, taster sessions and admissions meetings
  • Welcome visitors, parents and contractors professionally
  • Answer calls and respond to enquiries efficiently
  • Maintain accurate pupil, attendance and admissions records
  • Support safeguarding procedures and visitor sign-in processes
  • Assist with school events, trips and administrative projects
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A calm, approachable and professional manner
  • The ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • High levels of discretion and attention to detail
  • Experience within administration, PA, reception or admissions roles
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work

Experience within a school environment and familiarity with iSAMS or similar systems would be beneficial.
