Your new company Hays are partnering with a well-established and successful organisation based near Wolverhampton city centre. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team.
Your new role As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role within a collaborative and experienced finance function. This is a varied position offering exposure to multiple areas of accounts, including:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely posting
- Recording and monitoring stock movements
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
- Posting and allocating customer receipts and debtor payments
- Supporting monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and filing systems
- Providing ad hoc administrative support to the wider finance team
- Assisting with credit control during periods of holiday cover
- Ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance role
- Confident IT and Excel skills
- The ability to work effectively within a small team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in finance and accounting
