Working Hours: 40 hours per week, alternate shifts of 07:30 - 16:00 and 13:30 - 22:00

ISQ Recruitment is supporting a well-established commercial vehicle business in Oxford with the recruitment of an experienced HGV Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in delivering safe, compliant and high-quality maintenance work. You will be joining a professional technical team responsible for keeping customer vehicles on the road through effective servicing, repairs, inspections and diagnostics. The role would suit an experienced HGV Technician who enjoys varied workshop work, has strong attention to detail and is looking for a long-term opportunity with ongoing training, overtime availability and progression support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out major and minor repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Complete regular inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Carry out servicing work including general maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose faults and work with the wider repair team to plan vehicle repairs
  • Identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicles repaired or handled
  • Complete relevant paperwork, job cards and documentation
  • Support warranty claims or escalation of technical issues where required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
  • Provide support and guidance to trainees or less experienced team members where required
Candidate Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI
  • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, LGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
  • Strong knowledge of servicing, diagnostics and vehicle repair
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components in line with DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence, ideally with relevant vehicle classes
  • Reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team
  • Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality workmanship
Working Hours

40 hours per week, working alternate shifts: 07:30 - 16:00, 13:30 - 22:00. Overtime opportunities are available and paid at time and a half.
