Are you a passionate Cleaner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to work in a School based in The Ely area.

Pay Rates: £12.71 - £13.50 per hour

Information the Role

As a Cleaner, you will play an important part in ensuring all areas of the school are clean, hygienic, and safe for students, staff, and visitors. You will carry out a variety of cleaning tasks and help maintain a positive learning environment every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean classrooms, offices, staffrooms, dining areas, and toilets
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces
  • Empty bins and replenish hygiene supplies
  • Disinfect high-use and sanitary areas
  • Carry out deep cleaning during school closures and scheduled periods
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
  • Report any faults, hazards, or maintenance issues
  • Follow health & safety procedures at all times (including COSHH guidelines)

Health & Safety

  • Wear appropriate protective equipment (PPE)
  • Use chemicals and machinery safely
  • Follow all safeguarding procedures
  • Ensure doors, windows, and lights are secured after cleaning
  • Support a safe and secure school environment

Safeguarding

  • Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Report concerns appropriately
  • Attend required safeguarding and training sessions

Essential Requirements:

  • Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Current Enhanced DBS Check Adult & Children Checks
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and reliability
  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Basic understanding of cleaning practices and safety procedures (training provided where needed)
