Part time Engineer for a growing Dairy Facility.

Salary: £40-50k Pro Rata

Minimum 3/4 days flexible working in Wincanton, just off A303.

We are looking for a hands-on Engineer / Engineering Supervisor to join our successful and growing factory team. This is a varied and interesting role that can be carried out on a permanent part-time basis with a minimum of 3/4 days a week and a flexible approach.

Please note we are seeking a candidate who has experience working within a Food / Drink manufacturing environment.

The Role:
  • Carry out various engineering tasks on a small but expanding dairy production plant.
  • Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance across production and site services.
  • Take ownership of engineering standards, processes, and performance.
  • Manage contractors, projects, and site engineering activities.
  • Ensure high standards of Health & Safety and compliance are met at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a hands-on engineering role.
  • Ideally a background in dairy or liquid processing.
  • Strong mechanical and some basic PLC electrical fault-finding skills would be helpful.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments (FMCG preferred).
Working Hours:

This is a day-based role; however, some flexibility will be required as the site operates from 05:30 to 20:00, Monday to Friday, and sometimes on a weekend.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more than just an engineering job. You’ll have the chance to help shape engineering on a new and expanding site and be a key part of its success. This role may suit an engineer looking to own engineering or a hands-on engineer looking to work fewer hours.

This role is commutable from Shepton Mallet, Evercreech, Wincanton, Bruton, Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Frome, Radstock, Midsomer Norton.
