ASSEMBLY OPERATIVE - (Rotating shifts) 6-2PM & 2-10PM. Early finish Fridays.
We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Assembly Operative for a large prestigious Engineering company based in Tamworth. This is a Temporary - Permanent role working Rotating shifts. Pay £15.60ph. Training for the first 2 months will be on DAYS Monday to Thursday - 07.00am - 16:00pm & Friday 7.00am - 12.00 Noon. Pay rate £13.00ph increasing to £15.60ph from 1st April with shift allowance. Salary £32,402 per year. Flexible working hours needed (weekend & shift working may be required).
Key Responsibilities:- Working on a fast-paced production line
- Assembling and inspecting various parts
- Using hand and air powered tools
- Using torque wrenches & measuring devices
- Reading and following instructions from drawings & manufacturing specs
- Identifying any scrap or rejects that do not adhere to standards and specifications
- Suggesting recommendations to improve quality and health & safety processes
- Quality inspect and final visual inspection of all parts
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar assembly and manufacturing environment
- Must have a keen eye for intricate details for this role
- Good communication and written skills
- Heavy lifting will be involved in this role and you will be stood up most of the working day
- 25 days annual leave increasing to 27 days after completion of 5 years service
