We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Assembly Operative for a large prestigious Engineering company based in Tamworth. This is a Temporary - Permanent role working rotating shifts (6-2PM & 2-10PM). Early finish Fridays.
Pay: £15.60ph. Training for the first 2 months will be on DAYS Monday to Thursday - 07.00am - 16:00pm & Friday 7.00am - 12.00 Noon. Pay rate £13.00ph increasing to £15.60ph from 1st April with shift allowance. Salary: £32,402 per year.
Flexible working hours needed (weekend & shift working may be required).
Key Responsibilities:- Working on a fast-paced production line.
- Assembling and inspecting various parts.
- Using hand and air powered tools.
- Using torque wrenches & measuring devices.
- Reading and following instructions from drawings & manufacturing specs.
- Identifying any scrap or rejects that do not adhere to standards and specifications.
- Suggesting recommendations to improve quality and health & safety processes.
- Quality inspect and final visual inspection of all parts.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar assembly and manufacturing environment.
- Must have a keen eye for intricate details for this role.
- You will need to have good communication and written skills.
- Heavy lifting will be involved in this role and you will be stood up most of the working day.
- 25 days annual leave increasing to 27 days after completion of 5 years service.
