The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of a small accounts team, ensuring the production of timely and accurate management accounts, maintaining strong financial controls and overseeing transactional processes across sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control.
This full-time role is based in Wigan.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee cash flow management, bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, and VAT returns.
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor customer credit risk, handle bad debt, and ensure compliance across the finance function.
- Provide financial insight to support business decision-making while managing transactional and reporting duties.
- Experienced finance professional with a background in management accounts or finance management within an SME environment.
- Proficiency in producing management accounts and managing transactional and reporting responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong systems skills and familiarity with credit control and cash flow management.
- Independent, proactive, and able to work confidently within a small team.
- Team player looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable business environment.
