CNC Machinist Programmer / Setter / Operator

Alecto Recruitment are now partnered with a high quality manufacturing Precision Engineering company within the Weybridge area. My client is now looking to strengthen their ever busy machining workshop with a new opportunity for a CNC Machinist, skilled in setting and operating lathes with FANUC controls. Programming experience is desirable, but there will be an immediate structure to learn or retrain on the controls and machines in situ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform required tasks
  • Load raw materials and parts onto the machine
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
  • Experience in cutting a wide range of materials
  • Understand technical drawings to complete work to the desired result
  • Supervise the machines while they execute tasks and make adjustments where necessary

SKILLS

  • Have working knowledge of FANUC controls
  • Able to use all handheld precision measuring equipment
  • Understanding of tolerances, geometric and surface finishing requirements
  • Knowledgeable and experienced using HAAS machinery

ROLE OFFERINGS

  • Monday - Friday working week
  • 18.00 - 23.00 per hour (negotiable at interview stage)
  • Overtime available
