GSL Education are searching for an enthusiastic and motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in a supportive school in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates interested in education, mental health, counselling, or child development to gain hands‐on experience working with young people.

As a Psychology Grad TA, you will support students in the classroom, particularly those who may need additional emotional, behavioural, or learning support. You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help students stay engaged, build confidence, and achieve their potential. The successful candidate will be patient, empathetic, and eager to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities of Psychology Graduate TA:
  • Support students in lessons as a Teaching Assistant
  • Work with students on a one‐to‐one and small group basis
  • Assist students with additional needs, including SEMH and SEN
  • Help promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement
  • Support students' emotional wellbeing and confidence
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment
Requirements of Psychology Graduate TA:
  • A degree in Psychology
  • Interest in education, mental health, or child development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • An up‐to‐date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
