Front of House Duties & Responsibilities:
- Open the practice and turn on test room equipment.
- Greeting patients/visitors.
- Booking appointments and entering patient details in line with the GDPR.
- Active diary management including checking upcoming clinics.
- Ordering contact lenses to Optometrists specifications.
- Checking deliveries against the order information and spreadsheets.
- Preparing paperwork for any contact lens returns.
- Telephone patients to advise when their spectacles or contact lenses are ready for collection and remind patients of their upcoming appointments.
- Ensuring patient details are kept up to date.
- Discuss the benefits of Eyeplan with patients and suggest becoming a member, completing online registration form with patients.
- Taking payments for eye examinations, spectacles, contact lenses and sundry items.
- Balancing the till at the end of the day and producing appropriate reports.
- Dealing with post before the end of each day.
- Checking & responding to emails sent to the practice email account.
- Maintaining a tidy and professional working environment.
Working hours: Monday & Tuesday 08.30-17.30 plus one Saturday each month 08.30-17.00
