An opportunity has arisen for skilled Design Draughtspersons to join a busy engineering environment with an immediate start. Positions are available on both a contract and permanent basis. The successful candidates will support the design and modification of engineering drawings, primarily within sheet metal and fabrication projects.
- 2 x Contract Roles 3-month duration (rate dependent on experience)
- 1 x Permanent Role Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Modify existing sheet metal and fabrication drawings to meet customer requirements
- Work in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards
- Collaborate with production engineers, fabricators, assembly operators, and other shop floor personnel
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings accurately
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (essential)
- Experience with 3D AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (desirable)
- Familiarity with Autodesk Vault for data management (beneficial; training can be provided)
- Competence in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
