We are currently recruiting for an experienced and adaptable School Administrator to work across a range of primary, secondary, and SEND schools in the Telford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident individual who is comfortable working in different school environments and can quickly integrate into busy office teams. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and provide efficient administrative and front‑of‑house support in fast‑paced school settings, including those supporting pupils with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the school reception area and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and day‑to‑day enquiries in a professional manner
  • Supporting safeguarding procedures, including visitor management and DBS compliance
  • Maintaining and updating pupil records using ARBOR, SIMS, and BROMCOM
  • Assisting with attendance tracking, reporting, and follow‑ups
  • Coordinating meetings, school communications, and general office operations
  • Providing administrative support to senior leadership and teaching staff
  • Managing data entry, filing systems, and confidential documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience working within a school office (primary, secondary, or SEND)
  • Strong working knowledge of ARBOR, SIMS, and BROMCOM
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments, including SEN settings
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work under pressure

Important Information

  • No training will be provided – candidates must be experienced and able to perform duties immediately
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or willingness to obtain one at your own cost
