An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join a global manufacturer. The successful candidate will ideally be coming from a Quality Management position or looking to progress from a Senior Quality Engineer to a Quality Management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all quality engineering activities for the site, covering internal, supplier and customer processes.
- Execute Problem Solving using the 8D process to ensure product quality.
- Monitor and report on quality‑related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels and cost of poor quality.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (IATF16949/ISO9001) and facilitate adherence.
- Maintain a robust audit programme covering all shop‑floor processes.
- Monitor Quality for the customer and maintain a positive customer relationship.
- Develop quality control plans and work instructions for all components.
- Implement Continuous Improvement activities to reduce costs and improve quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Background in automotive engineering.
- Holding HNC/HND qualifications.
- Strong communication skills at all levels and the ability to make important decisions in a fast‑paced automotive environment.
- Current experience in a Senior Quality Engineering role, aiming to step into Quality Management.
