We are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join a busy vegetable processing factory in Brandon. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive team working in a fast‑paced production environment.
Job Overview
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring vegetables are processed, sorted, packed, and prepared to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Main Duties
- Checking and sorting vegetables on the production line
- Removing debris such as rocks, stones, and other foreign objects
- Packing potato bags up to 20kg
- Supporting the smooth running of the production line
- Ensuring products meet customer quality specifications
- Carrying out quality checks on finished products
- Assisting colleagues with lifting and moving items, including heavy lifting
- Reducing manual handling risks where possible
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Other general production duties as required
Shift Pattern
Day shifts starting at 07:00 until finish (depending on production/orders). Full‑time and part‑time positions available.
Pay Rates
£12.71 per hour. Overtime after 39 hours: £17.17 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to carry out manual work and heavy lifting (including 20kg bags)
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Previous production or factory experience is beneficial but not essential
