Infinity Employment are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fabric Assembler to join a leading manufacturing company specialising in fire and safety equipment. This role involves working in the fabrics department assisting with fabric preparation, accurately measuring and cutting fabric using hand tools, and supporting production needs. The ideal candidate can read and understand measurements and preferably has experience working with sewing machines.

12 Week Temp - Perm opportunity

Shift pattern applies: Mon - Thurs 07:15, Fri - 07:15pm. After probation period: Mon - Thurs 09:30am - 18:00pm, Fridays - 09:30 - 14:00.

Starting salary £25,500 per year depending on experience plus overtime when available.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure and cut fabric accurately according to specifications
  • Use hand cutting tools safely and efficiently
  • Read and interpret measurement instructions (inches, yards, fractions, etc.)
  • Assist with fabric assembly and preparation for production
  • Inspect materials for quality before and after cutting
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
  • Support team members and other departments as needed
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and understand measurements accurately
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with hand tools
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift fabric rolls as needed
  • Previous experience in a fabric, textile, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Sewing machine experience is a plus
