Role: Process Operator

Location: Oswestry WTW

Rate: £400 per shift + Enhanced Overtime/weekend rates - LTD Company/Outside IR35

Duration: 6 Months+

Sector: Water Treatment

Note: We can only accept applications if you have previously worked as a Process/Chemical Operator on a Clean Water Plant for a Water Utility Client such as United Utilities. We cannot consider any other background or experience.

An exciting position has come available for a Tier 1 contractor on the United Utilities (UU) water AMP8 framework for an experienced Process Operator to work on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for process monitoring of the new plant
  • Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals)
  • Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)
  • Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents
  • Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance
  • Reporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineer
  • Consultation with client, suppliers and Advance Plus process team
  • Regular meetings with UU re progress, performance, etc
  • Daily logs
  • Ordering of chemicals as required (including ferric, caustic, poly, reagents, cuvettes for sampling analyses)
  • Taking deliveries of chemicals
  • Assisting Advance Plus team with shutdowns, access, etc

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role on a Clean Water utility project as a Process Operator (No exceptions)
  • CSCS Card (any level)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card
