Pertemps are currently recruiting on behalf of Northumbrian Water for a Logistics Operator / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy logistics and warehouse operation in Washington on a 3-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence to join a well-established organisation.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring stock is accurately managed and internal customer requirements are met.
Key Duties
- Operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
- Receiving, unloading, checking and storing supplier deliveries
- Accurately recording stock movements using the Inventory Management System
- Issuing stock items to internal customers and resolving any stock queries
- Completing cycle counts and investigating stock discrepancies
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Generating replenishment orders between sites
- Loading and unloading materials for site transfers
- Providing cover for satellite stores when required
- Participating in the standby rota where necessary
Essential Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck qualification
- Previous experience within a logistics or warehouse environment
- Experience using Inventory Management Systems
- Full valid driving licence
