A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator & Forklift Driver to join a leading advanced materials manufacturing site based in the Duxford area. This is a key role within a fast-paced, high-performing warehouse environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are essential. You will play a vital role in supporting both internal and external customers by ensuring the smooth movement of materials across the site. Approximately % of your role will involve operating Forklift Trucks, making this a highly hands-on position within a world-class manufacturing organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring raw materials, packaging, and finished goods are handled safely and efficiently, while supporting production schedules and maintaining a world-class 5S environment.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance, Reach or VNA)
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience working in a chemical or manufacturing environment
- Previous exposure to cycle counting and inventory control
- Experience working in a 5S structured environment
Job Duties Include:
- Offloading and storing raw materials safely and efficiently
- Picking and delivering materials to production on time
- Handling finished goods and preparing dispatch orders
- Operating forklift trucks (% of working time)
- Conducting cycle counts and maintaining stock accuracy
- Supporting OTIF (On Time In Full) performance targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse (5S standards)
- Managing inbound and outbound deliveries
- Participating in shift handovers and whiteboard meetings
