Working hours: 10pm to 6:30am, Sunday night to Friday morning
You must be available for initial training during the day shift between 6am to 3pm.
We are seeking a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join our team and work night shifts. You'll be responsible for various warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical processes for individuals with previous warehouse experience.
Duties:
- Performing shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading lorries and containers
- Handling materials and products with care to prevent damage
- Picking raw materials and packaging for our Production and Packaging Teams and moving them between our units
- Operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner
- Utilising warehouse management system to track inventory and update records
Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse essential - ideally in a food, cosmetics or other FMCG manufacturing environment
- Must have a valid Counter Balance license and be proficient in using a forklift with high bay racking
- Must be able to lift 25kg
- Must have a current valid driving license
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations
