About Us

Barker Ross are looking for experienced warehouse operatives to join a leading provider of logistics and distribution services in Newcastle and join a busy, ever expanding Newcastle operation. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast‑paced environment with supportive colleagues and flexible shift options.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll be an essential part of our team, ensuring the accurate and timely handling, sorting, and movement of parcels and goods. You will work alongside a skilled team to maintain high operational standards and deliver excellent customer service.

Shifts

Early morning shifts from 3am - 8am (approx. 25 hours per week). Opportunities for overtime may be available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely handle, sort, and move parcels and goods according to DX Express procedures
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, manual handling guidelines, and site procedures
  • Work efficiently and accurately to support daily warehouse operations
  • Assist colleagues as needed to ensure smooth operations and excellent service

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment preferred but not essential
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work early morning shifts
  • Team‑oriented with a positive attitude
